Pensiunea Urban Point was born from a simple conviction — that Sfântu Gheorghe deserves a guest house that honours both its Transylvanian heritage and the quiet design language of the new century.
We took an old town building and reworked it room by room: linen, wood, hand-thrown ceramics, books, and morning light. Nothing loud. Everything intentional.
Today, the house welcomes travellers from across Europe who are drawn to Covasna's mineral springs, its wild ridges, its Székely heritage — and to a slower, more rooted way of moving through a place.

Pensiunea Urban Point stands on Strada Gábor Áron, only a few minutes on foot from the main square of Sfântu Gheorghe. From the front door you can reach the Székely National Museum, the Tamási Áron Theatre, the covered market, the riverside promenade along the Olt and a dozen cafés and restaurants without ever taking the car. For guests arriving by car, private parking is included inside the courtyard, so the city is at your feet while your vehicle stays safely off the street.
Behind the gate the atmosphere changes completely. The courtyard is quiet, the rooms look inward, and the house keeps the calm rhythm of a private home rather than the traffic of a hotel lobby. This balance — a genuinely central address with a genuinely peaceful interior — is the reason most of our guests come back.
How we host
Reception is staffed around the clock, so late trains, long drives and early departures are never a problem. Check-in opens at 15:00 and check-out is until 11:00, but if your plans need flexibility, simply tell us in advance and we will do our best to accommodate it. Every room has fast Wi-Fi, fresh linen, blackout curtains and a desk corner that works just as well for a laptop as for a morning coffee.
We keep the house small on purpose: a standard twin room and a spacious apartment for up to four guests. That means every arrival is personal. We can recommend where to eat on a Sunday evening, which thermal springs and mofettes in the Covasna valley are worth the drive, which ridge walk suits the weather, and how to reach Bálványos, Șugaș Băi or the Saint Anne Lake without losing half a day.
